Healing of Knees

For many months, I had been finding it getting harder to kneel and bend my knees. I would often comment "creak, creak, creak" as I rose from a kneeling position and say, "My body doesn’t bend like it used to."

Then during the Sunday evening service, pastor Mike showed some DVD clips from healing services around the world. Pastor Suela asked who would like a time of prayer for healing instead of ending the service. We all agreed. She mentioned arthritis as one of the possible things for which we could pray for healing from.

So I went forward. Pastor Mike laid his hand on my right knee, while he and others prayed. I felt both my knees becoming hot, and next day I noticed that I was able to bend and kneel much more comfortably!

All glory is due to God our Father, His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Thanks also to pastors Mike and Suela Brown, and others who prayed.

Healing from Atrial Fibrillation

Earlier this year, I was taken into hospital and diagnosed with AF (atrial fibrillation) and told that it could be a serious condition. My church family prayed for me during this time. I recovered quickly and was allowed home. An outpatient’s appointment was made for me to see a consultant heart specialist. After seeing him and having further tests, he asked me how I had been. "Fine!" was my reply. He said he had studied my results and figures and felt that I had no need to see him again, also giving me a discharge form which I was pleased to receive. Of course, I thanked him, but my heart belongs to my Lord and I know that it is his loving care over me that had brought me back to health. I give him all the glory.

Healing from Arthritic Pain in the Spine

I was suffering with a severe lower back pain which was slowly getting more painful.  This had been caused by my work in a nursing home and hospital.  I had got used to suffering with back pain and sciatica.  I would do the usual things, like seeing my doctor and asking for prayer at church.  I had also been for physiotherapy to try to get the pain sorted out, but it was not working at all.

So I was finding it difficult to bend and to get dressed, to the point where I had to ask my husband S. to help me.  To stand straight was very painful and I used to count to get myself up.  I continued with prayer, believing I would be healed.  In September, we went on a holiday to Rhodes where I took a fall and ended up with my leg in plaster and had no crutches till the following day.  So I had to hop.  I didn’t know what hurt most, my back or my knee.

I had been recommended for a scan on my back and this identified two areas of arthritis in my spine.  My doctor referred me to a pain clinic.  I had spent a considerable amount of money on so-called remedies to ease the pain.  As these were not working, I was offered an injection into my spine which would ease the pain for a short while.

However, on a Tuesday evening we were holding a healing prayer event in church, believing God to move powerfully for those who needed prayer.  On this evening, we were praying for a lady when I could feel myself being bent over, but I was not in any pain and, in fact, seemingly bending to a degree I couldn’t have managed before.  I did go down in the Spirit and I knew God was healing my back.  I did attend the pain clinic to explain.  I was free of pain, but the doctor said I should have the injection anyway.  Did I need the injection?  No, God had already done the work.  I thank Jesus for the healing given to me and I remain free of pain.

Healing from Kidney Stones

A believer in our church had been suffering from a kidney-stone for months.  He was in a lot of discomfort and pain.  The pain was unbearable at times, it reduced him to tears and it was heart-breaking to see him struggling in this way.  The doctors decided to operate on him, because the stone was too large to pass naturally.  However, the church kept praying that God would intervene.  On a particular Sunday morning, as I was leading the congregation in prayer and worship, I heard the Holy Spirit say to me: “Command the stone to leave his body!”  So I raised my voice and, in obedience and full of faith, I commanded the stone to leave his body.  I recall hearing the Holy Spirit speak to my soul as I was commanding the stone, “If you believe and do not doubt in your heart that a mountain can be removed after giving the command, so it will happen with this kidney-stone.  After all, a kidney-stone is nothing in comparison to a mountain.”

      On the following Sunday, this dear brother came to church and said that he wanted to show something to me and to the other believers.  In a small plastic packet which he held up was the kidney-stone.  He had passed it soon after the meeting on the previous Sunday.  He was very excited, because he had gone to the doctors to show them the stone and they had been amazed.  They told him that he no longer needed an operation.  I had never seen a kidney-stone before.  It was about five millimetres wide, so it was too large to pass naturally, and yet by the power of God he had passed it.  His wife told me that there had not been much pain or blood loss either.  So even this kidney-stone obeyed the word of the Lord!  I believe that not only was this kidney-stone meant to obey the word of the Lord, but also everything else that has the potential to afflict, torment or destroy our body.

Healing from a Skin Condition

      A dear sister in our church was complaining for months about a skin condition that had appeared on the palms of her hands.  Try as she might, she could not get rid of it.  The condition seemed to be very resistant.  The skin on her hands was red and dry, and the condition looked very discomfiting.  So we decided to pray and, as we prayed, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit within me saying, “Ask for new skin cells to form.”  So I did.  In the weeks following she realized that her skin was changing.  The condition was healing and her hands became smooth as though new skin cells had grown on them.  Praise God!  Nothing is impossible for God!

Healing from Cancerous Tumour

      The first person to receive healing after I prayed for her in the name of Jesus, was a lady who had been diagnosed with a tumour in the area of her womb.  She did not know God, but to me she had been a loving friend, and it was heart-breaking to see her go through such a traumatic time.  After the doctors had diagnosed her condition, she was very afraid.  What troubled her most was the thought that, if she were to die, her two young daughters would grow up without a mother.

      She asked me if I would accompany her to one of the main hospitals in the country that dealt with cancer patients.  It was about six hours away from the place where we lived and was in a city where she had no contacts.  So I accompanied her, and we spent the night before her admission into the hospital at the home of one of my friends.  All through that night she could not sleep.  She was in pain and terribly afraid, and she cried until I couldn’t take it anymore.  So I told her about Jesus and I prayed with her for her healing.  It was not a long prayer, but as I prayed I knew that God was healing her.

            Since the doctors thought that her case was very serious (and this was indicated by the scans), she expected to go into this hospital and not to come out again.  So I walked her to the entrance, and she waved goodbye.  She was very afraid, so as a sign of support I told her that I would stay outside for some time.  She went inside.  As I stood there, I had a strange sensation that I would see her again very soon.  After a while, she re-appeared at the door and I couldn’t believe my eyes.  This time she looked so happy and she was running towards me as if she had won the jackpot!  She told me that the doctors couldn’t believe it.  They had not been able to find anything in her and the bleeding had stopped.  She said that she had told them to check again, because the scans she had had the previous week had revealed the tumour and she herself had seen it.  They checked again, but again they could not find anything.  They told her that everything was now alright and that she could return home.  I had never seen anyone so happy, she looked like a re-born person!  At the time of this healing, I was only eighteen years old and this lady who was healed is still alive and well today.
